The ten winners, chosen from some thirty finalists, were Lewis Amarante, Best Professional Career in Beauty and Luis Miguel Vecina, Best Professional Career in Hairdressing; Mensajeros de la Paz-Pelobus, Best CharityAction; Idili Lizcano deAlqvimia, Best Business Project in Beauty and Narcís Oriol Quintana, Best Business Project in Hairdressing; Haute Custom Beauty, Best Salon Concept in Beauty and Maison Eduardo Sánchez, Best Salon Concept in Hairdressing;Flash Moda, Best Communications; Consuelo Silveira, Best Training Project in Beauty, and Cebado, Best Training Project in Hairdressing. Two Honorary Awards were given to Felicidad Carrera and Alberto Cerdán, for their involvement in and personal dedication to the Beauty and Hair industries, respectively.
The aim of these awards is to acknowledge the work and dedication of professionals, companies and institutions in the Hair and Beauty sector who use their creativity and hard work to improve training and business management and provide better promotion and information on comprehensive beauty care and aesthetics. The award ceremony has become the big party for the sector, bringing together the best beauty and hairdressing professionals in Spain, and on this occasion it was more important than ever, if this is possible, as it was celebrating its fifth anniversary.
The Salon Look 2017 Award Ceremony was attended by over 200 guests from the Hair and Beauty industry, as well as leading figures from the Regional Government of Madrid and the Madrid City Council. The Region of Madrid was represented by Mª José Pérez Cejuela, director general for Commerce and Consumption, and the Madrid City Council by Concepción Díaz de Villegas, director general for Commerce and Entrepreneurship.
The managing director of IFEMA, Eduardo López-Puertas, addressed the attendees, emphasising the importance of these awards, which started five years ago as part of Salón Look, an event that is considered to be the top business platform for the beauty sector in Spain and which offers a good example of the professional events organized by IFEMA with and for the sector. On this occasion, the well-known comic Sinacio, introduced and presented the event.
Salón Look 2017: 20 years and 5 exhibition halls The 2017 edition of Salón Look, the Comprehensive Beauty and Aesthetics Show, which is marking the 20th anniversary since its creation, will be held from 3 to 5 November at Feria de Madrid – from Friday to Sunday. It will offer more firms and content, as well as one more exhibition hall than in previous editions, bringing the total to 5. This allows the exhibition to be organised in a more professional and sector-focused way. Over 400 direct exhibitors are expected to participate along with representatives from more than 1,300 brands.
