When aristocracy meets anarchy.
Cultures clash and tables are turned in the new Sassoon collection as the hoi polloi of the city streets storm the portals of the English aristocracy. The metropolitan chic of a short sharp Sassoon haircut becomes a badge of English eccentricity when worn with posh hunting pinks or the muted sage green of a Harris Tweed hacking jacket.Inspired by the fantasy of romantic rural life created in the films of William Powell and Emeric Pressburger in the early 1950s and Gerald Brockhurst’s society portraits of London’s wealthy and fashionable set in the 1930s, this collection presents a new look that mixes the urban and the pastoral.Cuts are a combination of soft graduation, rounded interior shapes and the long foppish fringes of the typical English gent. International Creative Director Mark Hayes says ‘The idea is to create a little cap of hair on top of the head and then short or long hair is left underneath creating a ‘shape on shape’ effect. This collection is all about marrying the metropolitan chic of Sassoon geometry with the aristocratic elitism of the heritage country look that England is renowned for.’ Colours are plucked from the morning dew of a country hedgerow or found in the dark green of the moss and purple heather of a bleak damp moor. Edward Darley, UK Colour Director says ‘ We’re using colours in a completely new way in this collection, lots of royal blue, starched white and ox-blood which are colours associated with traditional English dress rather than hair.’Rural England has been re-invigorated. It’s rich traditions and heritage combined with Britain’s unique urban style to create a new look for a modern world. This is New Britannia. The Clipso group franchisees travelled to Paris recently for a specially organised L’Oréal Business Forum. As well as the tailor-made forum, the team had plenty of time to bond, including a trip to the Lido – the cabaret bar on the Champ-Elysées for an evening of music and dance. SE SUBE DE NUEVO A LA PASARELA EN EL CERTAMEN DE MISS SEVILLA
Por segundo año consecutivo ALQVIMIA ha estado presente en la gala de elección de la nueva Miss Sevilla 2008. La elegida que representará a esta provincia en el Certamen de Miss Sevilla de este año, Carmen Laura Sánchez Pérez, fue obsequiada con un completo lote de productos de la marca valorado en más de 600€.
Como cada año, a la gala no faltaron importantes personalidades del mundo de la belleza y la moda, como su propia organizadora, la modelo y Miss España 1989, Raquel Revuelta, entre otras personalidades de reconocido prestigio tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
Asimismo, a lo largo de toda la noche, ALQVIMIA estuvo presente ante el público andaluz gracias a las menciones y agradecimientos específicos por parte de los presentadores del acto, a la vez que la imagen de la marca no faltó en todo el material desplegado para la gala. Una nueva colaboración en esta gran cita de la belleza y la moda, así como un buen escaparate donde ALQVIMIA se vuelve a posicionar como marca de prestigio.

ANGELS AND DEMONS
The ghd Fallen Angels Tour finished its three-date run in Madrid. The show also visited Copenhagen and FLorence. The two-part show featured 11 models with looks created by the ghd Directive. The theme for the first half was Heavenly Creaturs, while the second part of the show, entitled Corruption, included high-octane dance numbers.
